Personally, I feel like being able to lift massive amounts of weight doesn’t directly translate to strong. Yes indeed you can be strong in that regard, but I feel like it’s just raw power with no refining or finesse behind it. I don’t mind not being able to lift double my weight if it really has no practicality. I’d want to be strong in terms of calisthenics, it’s really annoying conversating with muscle heads that judge you by how much you lift and say protein, protein, bench in every sentence. In gymnastics I’ve seen fat people do arabians with ease and shit. A boxer can run for days and probably fuck up someone buffer than them. Appearance aside people should learn to recognize and respect things other than a hulk-like physique. A person’s max is just a number, what can they do with that strength?
The white bar tape was plastic and nesteaa, so I got black cork bar tape. Not bad for a first :D. Cleaning off the old adhesive was a bitch though lol
